This disruptive energy provider are looking for a Data Scientist to be the newest addition to their marketing & insights team. You will report into, and be mentored by the Data Science & BI Manager. They've generated lots of data and you will play a key part in the team gaining meaningful insights from this data, impacting the business as a whole. The aim of the role is to help the business better understand their users and develop better marketing strategies.
You'll collaborate with SMEs across the business, implement reporting dashboards and statistical models to provide analysis on customer trends and behaviours, before reporting the findings to managers and decision-makers within the business.
That all sounds great, what will my day to day look like?
Analyse complex datasets, translating them into key strategic approaches for the business
Perform data extractions and analysis
Develop effective dashboards and data models which form insights and conclusions on customer behaviour – using Python and Power BI
Contribute to the improvements and implementation of products and campaigns, assessing opportunities and making recommendations on your findings.
Use of advanced analytical techniques including Logistic Regression, Clustering and Machine Learning to perform data modelling to support strategic and operational decisions
What I'll need to succeed?
Third level degree or equivalent, preferably in Maths, Statistics, Economics or Computer Sciences.
Advanced level of Microsoft Excel including the ability to create Macros in VBA.
Advanced level of SPSS
Minimum of 4 years’ experience with any of the following: R, SPSS, Python, Hadoop, SQL and other such solutions.
Good commercial acumen, with the ability to develop accurate, insightful reports and information
