Future Facts is a young, dynamic consultancy company. We believe in the power of fact. We use data-based analytics to help our customers realize strategic maneuverability. We have specialists across the entire spectrum: Business Analytics, Data Science and Data Engineering.

Knowledge sharing is key for our organization. Every Friday we take time to share what we're working on with each other, whether it's a client-based project or the hobby-data project we're working on in our free time. Your role as as Principal Machine Learning Engineer

We don't have to tell you that data is the foundation for Artificial-Intelligence solutions. By collecting data, creating pipelines, evaluating, and analyzing all available data, structured and unstructured, you create the foundation for good quality data using various tools and techniques. This way you create real value for our clients by implementing big-data-solutions, often from the cloud.

Practically, your day to day tasks will be:

• Designing big data architecture.
• Creating and designing (cloud) platforms.
• Creating and managing data pipelines (also designing DevOps).

With a strong, ambitious team of 24 colleagues, of whom five earned a phd in the Netherlands or abroad, you will work on projects for new and existing clients all over the Netherlands. We are not specialized in one field, but actively pursue projects in many different sectors to challenge ourselves. Every project is different, and therefore needs a different approach. With your team, you will determine the most efficient approach, and the appropriate tooling for each project. Your expertise and seniority make you the perfect advisor on these matters, add real value and surprise the client!

Most of the colleagues at Future Facts speak Dutch. Therefore it is important to at least understand Dutch to feel home in the company and be willing to become competent in Dutch within one year. Of course we will help you in any way possible.

Your personal development is very important to us at Future Facts, and we offer you a wide range of opportunities that will keep you at the top of your game in the fast-changing world of big data. You can enroll in tracks on ethics in AI or get certificates in AWS or Azure. In addition to that, we provide multiple team learning sessions with colleagues, and intervision sessions with a Technical Lead. You are free to choose whichever method is right for you. At the weekly Friday Sessions colleagues present their new discoveries in their field of expertise. This way we remain sharp and focused on each other's growth.

What you have to offer

• A master in e.g. Computer Science and +4 years of experience as a Machine Learning- or Big Data Engineer
• Able to connect between the client, Data Scientists and the high end analytics solutions
• You are experienced in Datalakes and analytics in Azure or AWS
• Years of programming experience (Python, C,C++, Java, SQL) . Tell us about your personal creative projects or your Git account.
  
• Creativity, focus, and a healthy sense of humor.
• Knowledge of big data processing (Spark/PySpark, Kafka, AWS EMR, Databricks etc.)
  
• Knowledge of storage technologies(HDFS, S3, ADLS, GFS) en and knowledge of database technologies (Redshift, Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Neo4J, FlockDB)
