Your role:

You will be part of our data platform & product insights data engineering team. As part of this agile team, you will work in our cloud native environment to:

• Build & support data ingestion and processing pipelines. This will entail extract, load and transform of ‘big data’ from a wide variety of sources, both batch & streaming, using latest data frameworks and technologies, along with real time monitoring dashboards and alerting.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements. Partner with product to ensure build out of Data Dictionaries, ensure detailed documentation and knowledge around data assets, metrics and KPIs.
• Warehouse this data, build data marts, data aggregations, metrics, KPIs, business logic that leads to actionable insights into our product efficacy, marking platform, customer behavior, retention etc.

About you

• Data Engineer with experience in advanced SQL, Python
• Building ‘big data’ data pipelines with distributed frameworks like Apache Spark, Dataflow etc. along with workflow automation & scheduling frameworks like Apache Airflow
• Building DataMarts in OLAPs, assemble large and complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements, Data modeling & cataloging
• SQL & distributed NO-SQL datastores (DBA level) eg. Postgres, MongoDB, BigQuery, Cassandra etc.
• Building enterprise scale software using Java/Scala/C#/F#, Docker, Kubernetes etc.

In addition, the following skills are helpful

• Business Intelligence (BI) tools and frameworks, BI reporting
• Agile software development, working in multi-functional multi-location teams
• JavaScript/Typescript or front-end frameworks
