Job Title: Data Analyst Reporting to: Chief Information Officer Maintain Data tables within our Datawarehouse such as restaurant information, budget data and finance calendar. Maintain two MS SQL internal schemas for data processing and reporting. Troubleshoot data issues, identify the source of the problem, and liaise with the appropriate third party or third parties to reach a resolutionUndertaking ad-hoc queries by first understanding the business request and then ensuring this is delivered to the user either by writing a spec for a third party or through using in-house tools such as PowerBI, MS SQL Server Query Analyser, MS Excel Power Query, Microsoft PowerApps, Microsoft PowerAutomate and Fourth AnalyticsRespond to queries from business users and help them identify the data within the data ware-house which will support their queries. Then run SQL queries to obtain the data. Maintaining documentation of the data model of the Datawarehouse, and working in conjunction with the data warehouse developers to ensure the accuracy of the dataCreation of dashboards and visualizations for different business areas using PowerBI, Excel and Fourth Analytics. Be involved in the design and test stages of new reporting solutions. General Personal CharacteristicsEnjoys working with both people and data. Excellent documentation skills. The role involves responding to requests from across the organisation, so the role provides a great deal of variety and the opportunity to work with different kinds of data such as sales, bookings, guest feedback and financial information. The role includes supporting the business in using self-service BI reporting tools, writing SQL data extracts, using 3rd party analytics platforms for information share, as well as data integration projects.
