The Challenge:

In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open up new opportunities to understand how risks and vulnerabilities shape cybersecurity decisions. As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve critical cybersecurity challenges.

We have an opportunity for you to use your leadership and analytical skills to improve your understanding of how risks and vulnerabilities combine to influence decision-making and shape cybersecurity responses to emerging threats. You’ll work closely with a team of cybersecurity experts to understand the data they use and how it can be leveraged to analyze insightful models. You’ll mentor teammates, analyze algorithms, write scripts, build predictive analytics, use automation, apply machine learning], and assemble the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn disparate data points into objective answers that help cybersecurity practitioners choose when and how to react. You’ll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to use data science solutions to help your customers meet their toughest challenges. You Have:

  • Experience with analyzing qualitative cybersecurity data related to risk, vulnerabilities, and threats.
  • Knowledge of graph-based threat modeling, anchored in the industry reference models of Mitre Att&ck and Mitre D3fend
  • Ability to perform statistical analysis of qualitative and quantitative data using Python
  • Ability to deliver complex analysis visually using Tableau or D3
  • Ability to manage a small, geographically diverse team of data scientists and developers delivering code, models, and algorithms in a remote work environment
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • HS Diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with graph databases like dgraph or neo4j
  • Experience with data science tools like Amazon Sagemaker or Databricks
  • Knowledge of Mitre Shield, an emerging active defense reference
  • Knowledge of common container-based software development and delivery approaches like Docker or similar systems

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation:

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $160,000 to $180,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
