Data Scientist / Product Manager - Remote | WFH

We are a cutting-edge SaaS supply chain planning platform that helps businesses gain control and improve forecasting precision, reduce costs, improve service levels, and increase profits. Our cloud-based supply chain planning software is the industry leader, and we are currently seeking a talented and passionate Product Manager to join our product management team.

As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting research through science and statistical modeling to elevate our Supply Chain Planning (SCP) offerings. You will work closely with the data analytics team and support sales, marketing, and customer success activities to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality of service.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize and develop machine learning (ML), data mining, and statistical techniques and algorithms to create new scalable SCP solutions for business problems by analyzing large amounts of data.

Research, develop, test, and recommend mathematical models and algorithms for inclusion into SCP products.

Create detailed documentation outlining design and technical specifications of solutions.

Support sales activities by participating in pilots to prove Blue Ridge product's value proposition to prospects.

Work with the engineering team to ensure the successful implementation of product enhancements that involve science.

Provide all necessary support to the engineering and QA teams during the product release cycle.

Participate in consulting and education engagements as identified by Blue Ridge’s Product management/services team.

Qualifications

Minimum of a master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as data science, Industrial Engineering, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or a related qualitative field.

5+ years of experience in applying quantitative techniques, such as machine learning, predictive analytics, customer analytics, to solving business problems.

Good understanding of supply chain concepts, especially replenishment, distribution, MEIO, forecasting, inventory management, and master planning and scheduling.

Customer consulting experience in data science field will be a plus.

Optimization experience (Cplex, Gurobi) will be a plus.

Experience in Analyzing the Complex Problems and translate it into data science algorithms.

Experience in machine/statistical learning: Time series Forecasting, Clustering, text mining, Neural Networks, Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics, Web Analytics.

Deep experience with Python (Pandas, Scikit learn, Keras, Apache Spark), Flask, Docker, etc.

2+ years’ experience with various data analysis and visualization tools.

Superior verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to present complex ideas to a non-technical audience.
