Rates - $90 - $120 per hour

About the Role
The Aged Care Data Warehouse Data Analyst is responsible for Oracle PL/SQL
development, documenting and undertaking data analysis & data profiling to
support data warehouse ongoing support and use, and new design and
development. This includes identification of data anomalies and exceptions and
communication of these issues with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Perform data interrogation, validation, dash boarding and modelling using
  • efficient and effective SQL and provide advice to ETL/data quality solutions.
  • Query and interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and
  • provide designs and solutions.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics
  • and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain
  • databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and
  • performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
The Deliverables are, (but are not limited to):
  • SQL code and testing
  • Data profiling reports
  • Risk elements and features
  • Design documentation including source to target

About You
  • Demonstrated advanced SQL coding skills to both interrogate and manipulate data and database structures.
  • Demonstrated experience in the role of a data analyst or equivalent on a large technology project.
  • Experience in the facilitation of technical teams during planning and design activities.
  • Coding and re-coding data contained within various databases to identify patterns.
  • Expected to communicate and consult with clients directly and will be responsible for compiling and presenting data solutions and designs.
  • An ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to prioritise multiple deliverables and respond under pressure with competing deadlines.
  • A proven track record in business intelligence, business analysis and data architecture, influencing BI projects and working with other team members across the business.
  • Experience with database design and development
  • Extensive data warehouse design experience required, including the following: o SQL o Data modelling and ETL principles o Data warehouse interface specification
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships, including performance monitoring and reporting requirements
  • Strong liaison and interpersonal skills including the ability to:
  • Engage with requesting business areas and other project stakeholders
  • Discuss technical matters with both technical and non-technical staff
  • Negotiate outcomes between business and technical areas
  • Work closely with staff to facilitate systems development
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field (eg math, economics, statistics, computer science)
