About the role - you will:
- Responsible for identifying, designing and implementing large and complex sets of data in data intensive applications.
- Work with stakeholders to understand the business problems and participate in the design of integrated solutions.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence team to deliver solutions to users.
- Identify and investigate issues related to data and ingestion process.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and work with stakeholders to deliver the solutions.
About you:
- Proficiency in Python, object storage such as S3, Linux and SQL.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
Your experience includes:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
- Solid experience in Hadoop ecosystem, such as Spark and Airflow.
- Proficiency in object storage such as S3.
- Experience in Linux environment.
- Solid understanding of SQL, database and data model concept in Oracle, HIVE and Presto.
- Experience in AWS is a bonus.
- In-depth knowledge of data ingestion, ETL and data warehouse concept.
- Good understanding of Agile Methodology and CI / CD software development practice.
- Knowledge of of AI / ML is a bonus.
- Understanding of WebAPI, Informatica and BI tools is a bonus.

The Shugart site (named after Seagate's founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center.
