About this role

As part of BT Digital, we’re spearheading and driving the digital transformation of one of the UK’s most recognisable brands. We’re talking about driving new digital experiences for our customers in new markets, transforming our architecture and developing industry leading capabilities in Data, AI, Fintech and Healthcare. We’re stripping out unnecessary complexity for customers and colleagues and introducing agile methodologies.

Within Digital, the COO (Chief Operating Officer) team plays a critical role in driving the Digital transformation: we set and implement the overall BT Digital strategy and plans and we are the engine room driving the outcomes required for our customers. We work across multiple customer units (e.g. Consumer, Enterprise, Global divisions) covering needed updates to products, customer journeys, platforms, 3rd parties, strategic partners, IT architecture and innovation.

You'll have the following responsibilities

COO is a key enabler within Digital and is pivotal to creating a new BT. The COO and this role have been designed to drive outcomes required to deliver the Digital and BT transformation agenda.

Executing a role pivotal to enabling the Digital strategy and its delivery commitments by driving collaboration across colleagues and our external partners ensuring common approaches to defining and dramatically improving data, reporting and management information journeys. By creating consistent and optimised data, management information frameworks and capability solutions you will help Digital and our different business units to transform to analytical and data led organisations underpinning their decision making with clear, definitive data insight across a number of lenses.

You'll have the following skills & experience

  • 2+ years complex data analysis and management experience with coding skills relevant to data manipulation e.g. SQL, Python, Qlik along with more common solutions such as Excel
  • 2+ years stake holder management & collaboration
  • A problem solving mindset
  • Ability to transform complex data landscapes into simpler more understood solutions with MI rich capabilities
  • Have experience using data to drive transformation and business change
  • Worked in a transformation / change environment where there may be ambiguity
  • Are comfortable using data visualisation and analysis tools e.g. Qlik, Tableau
  • Feel the BT Digital Way principles apply to you and how you work

You should apply if you have experience in most or all of the following:

  • Stakeholder Management: Able to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships and facilitates mutually beneficial discussions to develop solutions, ensuring they meet current and emerging business and technical needs
  • Commercial acumen for financial and commercial analysis including operational considerations to determine impacts and opportunities over short, medium and long term timelines
  • Deep data landscaping and analysis experience typically simplifying data sources and delivering automated capabilities across finance, operations and resource lenses
  • Excellent communicator capable of engaging and influencing leaders across all Digital and external partners
  • Data first mindset, defining a sustainable ecosystem to manage, manipulate and provide insight and information to all Digital stakeholders and hierarchies on a self-serve basis.
  • Change delivery: Able to define and implement long term changes and adapt for the optimum solution.
  • Culturally and personally align with BT Digital Way principles both in what you do and how you work
