This role will support the delivery of fraud analytics, support team development, and facilitate the smooth running of our Fraud Solution Software. This role will report to the Fraud Analytics Manager.

What you will be doing:

Responsibilities include, although are not limited to:

  • Support the data analytics teams, on an operational and strategic level

  • Responsible for data discovery and report building of the fraud analytics team, using departmental KPIs and goals set by the Fraud Analytics Manager

  • Design, implement and maintain the database

  • Take guidance from the Fraud Analytics Manager to ensure all KPIs are monitored and escalated effectively

  • Support the development of strategic analysis methods to prevent and detect fraud, responding to emerging trends and attack

  • Lead smaller cross-team projects

  • Use SME knowledge to execute departmental plans to address the reduction of chargeback and fraud rates whilst balancing customer friction

  • Monitor and report on emerging trends and attacks in order to reduce and minimise chargeback rates whilst balancing false positives

  • Provide informal guidance on fraud analytics and fraud system management to junior staff.

  • Support in the development of appropriate reporting methods of new analytical tools to evaluate their effectiveness

  • Responsible for assisting with internal data and reporting requirements, often liaising with stakeholders to ascertain their needs to provide a solution

  • Being an integral member of the Fraud Analytics team through working independently

  • Building effective relationships across the Cyber Security department

  • Working in partnership with all areas of Global Fraud

What you will need:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced ecommerce fraud environment

  • Experience in SQL (Azure, Microsoft)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills – evidence of demonstrating innovative and methodical thinking

  • Analytical experience of large datasets within a fraud environment

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and Excel

  • Ability to transform data analysis into defined actions and improvement

  • Strong communication skills; ability to influence at all levels of an organisation

  • Knowledge of fraud risk systems and controls. e.g. Accertify, Ravelin

  • Excellent organisational skills to plan and manage multiple projects across the business

  • Experience working within a data intensive environment

  • Experience within performing data analysis and rule building
