As a member of the AI team, you will work in close collaboration with full-time data scientists, doctors, data engineers, and product owners to improve the deep learning algorithms powering our products. These algorithms include, but are not limited to, region detection, keypoints detection, registration, and classification on both 2D and 3D medical images.
During the onboarding phase, you will familiarize yourself with our current solutions and learn the medical context in which you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact. In particular, you’ll learn about the pathologies we target, their patterns, and the challenges that come with finding them.
Then, iteratively and with the continuous support of one of our AI engineers, you will have your shot at improving our models. Several directions for improvement have already been selected, and you’ll be encouraged to try your own ideas as well. This means you’ll learn from experts in the field of deep learning and work on state-of-the-art algorithms.
After the internship, provided that Gleamer and you are a good match, you will be offered a full-time position with us.
Responsibilities
- Iterative improvement of our deep learning algorithms
- Weekly scientific reporting with your tutor
- Contribution to our internal deep learning codebase
