The role:

You will be the lead on producing a solution to obtain detailed financial reports from raw data to enable a variety of stakeholders to easily interpret the results. A keen attention to detail, an understanding of financial accounting, excellent organisational skills, and project management skills are key for this role, together with strong interpersonal and communication skills.


Working in the financial reporting team, this role will also be involved on a project with one of our biggest partners.


Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a scalable solution to convert raw data to financial reports
  • Performing data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and analysis, alongside developing, and performing standard queries to ensure data quality and identify data inconsistencies and missing data
  • Maintain a detailed log of all ongoing data projects and issues, and work with the team to ensure appropriately prioritised
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Data teams, including raising issues and following through to completion
  • Review regular data reconciliations, assess the financial impact of inconsistencies and follow through discrepancies identified to resolution
  • Enable insight-informed business decisions, by collating and analysing information from a wealth of data and providing a clear coherent story
  • Prepare financial data for operational and analytical use
  • Build a solution that is maintainable and scalable for future data changes
  • Carry out ad hoc analysis and communicate findings in a concise and timely manner


For this role we need you to be/have:

  • How you effectively work as part of a team
  • Taking initiative & curiosity - something doesn’t look right in the numbers? Why is that?
  • How well you can collaborate with other people, both technical and non-technical
  • You are able to communicate complex results/techniques in a way that is easy for a variety of stakeholders to understand
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of Alteryx (preferred)
  • Experience in financial accounting
  • Experience of creating reports from raw data in Excel
  • Highly numerate and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to simply communicate complex analysis
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good commercial acumen and understanding of how to link business objectives to measurable KPIs and project briefs.
