The Data Scientist is a key member of the Products and Services team. We are looking for a Data Scientist that will help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better automations. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our Automation products. You will work in close collaboration with the Product Owner, the Business Analyst, Solution Architect and the Development Team.

We are looking for an analytical problem solver, an outside-of-the-box thinker who will drive innovation and efficiency – with substantial level of experience of the applicable technologies we work with…... or the ones we should be.

This role supports one or a number of Scrum teams.

The right candidate may be asked to perform a team leadership role within the team.

This role is required to enable a culture of automation first. Working collaboratively with internal and client teams in building NTT’s automation capabilities, identifying & successfully implementing advanced IT automation solutions for NTT and our clients -using the latest industry standards and techniques to build robust, secure and innovative solutions.

Key roles and responsibilities

In this position your responsibilities will include

o Identifying signals from Noise and tuning Data into Wisdom to guide the Development of intelligent Automations

o Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques

o Data mining using state-of-the-art methods

o Design and build datasets and data models leveraged in machine learning techniques

o Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed

o Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems

o Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis

o Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner

o Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance

o Leading Data best practice for various project and solutions

o Communicating clearly and simply with your team and colleagues advising on data strategies, processes and methodologies

o Collaborating closely with the Business Analyst, the Product Owner and the Development Team to analyse and establish Data architecture and requirements for innovative solutions

o Participate in key agile rituals

o Supporting in testing and quality assurance where necessary

o Mentoring and coaching the team

o Generating innovative digital and automated solutions by approaching problems with curiosity and open mindedness, use existing information to its fullest potential.

o Driving operational excellence, automation and innovation

o Lead, guide and mentor team members within the practice and recruit additional people as required

o Set direction and facilitate appropriate training and development for team members to meet the needs of the individual and the automation practice

o Set KPIs and conduct performance reviews for team members, and provide input to others within the practice
