As a Data Analyst Senior to Lead in Claims Control Finance you'll join a team responsible for the loss adjustment expense (LAE) financial analysis within the Claims organization. The position offers collaboration with senior leaders in Claims and Corporate Finance functions and visibility into Claims strategic initiatives. You will mentor a team of 2 to 3 Analysts in the monthly close process including review, communication, and analysis of ~$4B in annual LAE. A strong financial analysis background with the ability to work independently to meet required timelines will serve you well in this role. A proven ability to communicate and lead peers will be key traits for you to be a successful candidate. Additional responsibilities within this role include your ownership of the Sarbanes-Oxley control framework for Claims, representing the Claims intersection in Corporate Finance initiatives, and performing LAE analysis as required.

In addition to the minimum requirements for the role, the candidate must meet requirements to work in the General Ledger. Those General Ledger requirements include passing Principles of Accounting I and II -or- Financial Accounting I and II.

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of 3 year analytical work experience.
  • In lieu of a quantitative degree, a bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of 5 years of analytical work experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of analytical work experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with the Sarbanes-Oxley control framework
  • Some accounting background

Compensation

  • $66,300 - $107,000/year depending on position level and experience
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
