About The Role

Our Data Engineer will ensure the ongoing development of the group’s data platforms, including data processing systems, which provide robust data foundation to the organisations MI reporting, contact centre systems, internal and external data feeds.

How will you do this?

You will work with team of data engineers to build robust, cost effective and efficient group data platform ensuring codes (T-SQL, Data factory pipelines, Scripting codes in data bricks) are written in high standard and perform well. You will also ensure data dictionaries and models are robust and maintained on a regular basis.

You will ensure all developments meet regulatory requirement on data security, data governance and data retention, and work with modern development lifecycle toolsets and methods of delivery, including test automation and “Continuous Delivery” approaches

About You

• 5+ years Development experience in SQL Programming, systems integration.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL, data modelling, data warehousing concepts and Kimball methodology.
• Good project management skills; experience managing projects / requests with multiple senior stakeholders
• Ability to understand and interpret business needs and how they translate to technical and functional requirements.
• High degree of commercial / operational awareness of data
• Experienced in working in a demanding, fast paced environment
• Robust / up to date knowledge and experience of Technology and methods in the data space.
