Data Scientist

Some things you will do in the role include:

  • Develop an automated data analysis algorithm for disease diagnosis based on measured breath chromatograms, which utilizes signal processing, statistical analysis, and machine learning
  • Identify breath chromatogram features for multiple diseases via close collaboration with hospitals nationwide.
  • Work closely with a highly experienced multidisciplinary team including GC engineers, technicians and physicians and understand their needs and technical challenges.
  • Write and present research proposals to both internal and outside agencies and collaborators
  • Publish in top peer-reviewed journals and present research results at conferences.

Some of the things you will bring to the role:

  • Candidates with Ph.D. degree in relevant Engineering disciplines, such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry or Statistics, are mostly desired. MS degree or BSc degree in the above relevant Engineering Discipline with a minimum of 1.5 years of related experience in industry or Research Universities
  • Programming skills with Python, MATLAB, or C++ are a significant plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analytics or signal processing for gas chromatography and sensor applications or metabolomics.
