About the Role

As a principal machine learning engineer on the HCM ML team, you will

  • Lead exploration, design and execution of machine learning models and frameworks that deliver value to our users.

  • Work closely with ML engineers, software developers and product managers to take ML-powered services from inception to production

  • Use high-quality datasets from the world’s largest enterprises across applications spanning NLP, NER,

  • Utilize modern software and data-engineering stacks along with Workday’s vast computing resources to enable training, deployment and lifecycle management of ML models

  • Develop new APIs/Microservices and deploy them into production at scale

  • Own the performance and ongoing improvements of your products.

  • Mentor and guide other specialists

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of demonstrated ability as part of a data science, machine learning, or other software development team

  • Advanced proficiency in Python

  • Experience with ML frameworks & toolkits

  • Experience building and productionizing applied machine learning products

  • Experience with modern software-engineering practices

Other Qualifications

  • Experience with NLP and Transformer based networks a big plus
