Your task

  • Bring our data-driven digital market steering to the next level by leading data science initiatives in areas such as Bayesian media mix models or product recommendations.
  • Be the trusted analytics partner for key stakeholders, like our digital sales and experience team – Understand their needs and translate those needs into precise analytical solutions to inform strategy and decision making
  • Understand key drivers of business performance and translate this into enhancements for our (advanced) analytics products (e.g., to improve data-driven steering of our digital activities at scale)
  • Be a team player and support other team members with your analytical, statistical, and technical expertise (e.g., improve statistical analyses, carry out A/B tests before feature roll-out)
  • Identify new pools of value proactively – Make use of advanced analytical methods to identify insights and create opportunities from information hidden in our data

Your profile
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., physics, mathematics, computer science, bioinformatics, econometrics, engineering)
  • 2+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics. Hands-on experience with Bayesian Modelling and performance marketing analytical methods is a strong plus
  • Solid understanding of probability theory, statistics, and time-series analysis, especially Bayesian inference models.
  • Fluent in programming with Python and in using common machine learning libraries (e.g. pandas, sklearn, NumPy, PyMC3) as well as having experience with big data ecosystems and ETL processes (e.g., Azure)
  • Knowledge of SQL and professional software development practices. Familiarity with using tools for source control and project management like Git, JIRA, Azure Dev Ops is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen, entrepreneurial mind-set, and the ability to clearly and concisely communicate results of your analyses to experts and non-experts alike.
