Senior data analyst

Overview: We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Quantification Analytics team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data analysis and statistical modelling, driving forward our Quantum modelling efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis: Conduct thorough data analysis to support the legal teams in making informed decisions. Extract, clean, and analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Data Visualisation: Create compelling and clear visualisations using Power BI to present data-driven insights to stakeholders.
• Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards that track key metrics and performance indicators relevant to Quantification.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, IT teams, and legal teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. Translate complex data findings into actionable recommendations.
• Data Governance: Ensure data integrity, quality, and security by adhering to data governance best practices.
• Help maintain and improve data standards and protocols.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data analysis and visualisation.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data processes.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analytics role, preferably with experience in the legal industry or finance industry.
• Technical Skills: o Proficient in PowerBI and other reporting tools.
• Experience using Azure data tools (Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks).
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and apply data science principles to business problems.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
