About the Role
As our Senior Data Scientist, you'll be an instrumental cog in the Centralised Analytics and Science Team (CAST) team that builds smart data products for Gojek. You'll give to dive deep and mine insights from a sea of data in order to design and build ML-powered data products. More specifically, you'll get to take charge of building a more personalized and recommendations-based Grocery platform. A talented troop of business leads, analysts, and scientists will be your companions on this ride. You'll get ample opportunity to flex your DS skills, better positioning Groceries as the leading food delivery platform in the region and beyond.
What You Will Do
- Build models (or ML models) that generate or lead to the answer to some of the most challenging questions we have
- Productionise models that delivers a personalised experience via search engine and grocery
- Own the data science product roadmap for the search and recommendation stream
- Automate your work
- Own Data science projects from inception to deployment via our own internal tools
- Partner with the business to deliver high impact
- Be a technical leader in the CAST team, supporting other and enabling them to perform better
What You Will Need
- At least 5 years of practical experience using Python/R, shell scripting, & SQL
- Impact-driven and focused on driving key business metrics
- Prior experience with applied statistics, experimental design, machine learning, and Git version control is a must
- Experience with experimenting on different modeling techniques (supervised and unsupervised learning) and developing data visualization for data stories
- Experience bringing models to production and delivering models via API and CI/CD
- Able to recognize business needs and ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders including PMs, business and operations
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment
About the Team
Our CAST (Centralised Analytics and Science Team) squad currently consists of 25 data scientists, analysts, and decision scientists based in Jakarta, Bengaluru, and Singapore. As a data team, we are in charge of the data aspects of multiple products and platforms: from our Groceries service, to the Gojek home screen, and various other communication platforms in our ecosystem. It’s our job to ensure that our Gojek products and services run seamlessly by providing data solutions to any issues or developments that arise. At all times, we are solving big questions from marketing to customer experience.
