What you'll do
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth data analysis, developing advanced statistical and machine learning models, and providing strategic guidance based on data-driven insights. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading scientific research to develop cutting-edge data science solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms.
Responsibilities
- Develop advanced statistical and machine learning models, and lead scientific research for cutting-edge data science solutions.
- Utilize data to detect and predict failures in machinery and equipment.
- Develop and implement predictive models for failure probabilities and remaining useful life.
- Perform data analysis, preprocessing, and feature extraction on data.
- Design and validate machine learning models for failure classification and prediction.
- Create informative reports and visualizations to communicate findings and insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide mentorship to junior data scientists.
- Ensure data governance compliance and stay updated on advancements in failure detection techniques.
Requirements
- 5+ years in Data Science related fields
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field such as computer science, mechanical engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on failure detection and analysis.
- Strong expertise in signal processing techniques and analysis methodologies.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and predictive modeling.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as, R, or MATLAB.
- Experience with feature extraction and preprocessing of data.
- Familiarity with relevant tools and libraries for data analysis and machine learning.
