The Digital Data Analyst is responsible for data management of Global Freight Forwarding (GFF) digital platform. He/She reports on the GFF digital platform performance, synthesizes data into actionable insights, and assists with identifying opportunities for improving digital marketing campaigns. This position interacts regularly with cross-functional team members to communicate results and insights.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Acts as analytics subject matter expert for multiple client engagements, owning the completion and distribution of various monthly reporting deliverables (i.e., scorecards, standard reports and dashboards, and campaign analyses reporting on client KPIs) and identification of opportunities to improve digital marketing campaigns
  • Synthesizes complex data sets into actionable insights and builds analytics stories that culminate in accurate business decisions
  • Partners with a cross-functional team of technical and analytical partners
  • Works on cutting edge data science and analytics problems to help solve real world challenges
  • Provides ad hoc analysis and works with data scientists as needed
  • Communicates results and insights with team and executives
  • Obsesses with leveraging technology to make partner analytics teams more efficient and effective
  • Employs effective visualization techniques for complex concepts visualizing “big data” use cases

Knowledge and Skills

  • 3+ years demonstrated experience with Adobe Analytics Marketing Cloud, mainly Workspace
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience across the analytics spectrum of Prescriptive, Descriptive and Predictive Analytics
  • Ability to accurately use data/information to tell a clear, concise, and compelling story that enables stakeholders to make a more informed decision
  • Intellectually curious with an interest in what drives people’s perceptions, opinions, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors
  • Flexible thinking and problem solving that enables quick resolution to unique challenges
  • Attention to detail with a focus on high-quality output that ensures reporting accuracy
  • Comfortable with both the art and science of digital marketing
  • Identifies key information sources, understands and communicates limitations, relates and compares information from different sources, manages large amounts of data, makes logical assumptions, challenges findings and documents process and outcomes, and audits own analyses and determines validity
  • Identifies complex problems and provides solutions
  • Demonstrates understanding of implementation objectives, project plan, and roles within a project, participates in the implementation of a project, provides timely, thorough and concise updates, and identifies areas of risk and properly communicates them to stakeholders, managers, and other appropriate parties
  • Demonstrates understanding of basic project planning processes, including planning action items and resources
  • Track record of consistent delivery and execution
  • Ability to synthesize large scale data sets to generate insights
  • Experience developing and working on larger scale analytics/big data implementations
  • Project Management skills
  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in a qualitative field
  • Master’s Degree - Preferred
  • Experience in Tealium tagging, machine learning tools and techniques - Preferred
