Summary
Financial Analytics professional who is passionate about building predictive models and other analytical solutions within the supply chain to understand cost of goods sold enabling a competitive advantage for the enterprise. In addition to traditional sourcing and supply chain analytics, the role will also focus on building out predictive/prescriptive models, business challenges and opportunities with data. Will develop and apply machine learning, statistical, and other analytics techniques. A successful Supply Chain Analyst will be a thought leader with the ability to interpret data, design optimal solutions for business problems and clearly communicate and translate technical concepts to stakeholders. Critical support for cross-functional businesses to help maintain and launch leading-edge insights and operational solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and Publish monthly Balanced Scorecards in tight collaboration with Finance
Metric reporting, market trends and results analysis
Partner and support Global Commodity Teams for critical business processes, such Long-term Strategic Planning and Annual Strategy Setting Process
Work alongside Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team, defining outputs that can be translated into meaningful business dashboards via PowerBI
Able to automate repetitive data analysis tasks/request
Develops both ad hoc and production-level analytics tools using techniques such as:
machine learning
statistical analysis
mathematical optimization
simulation
Creates Prescriptive and Predictive Analytical Solutions that align with business objectives
Actively engage with internal business teams (Finance, R&D, Product Management, Sourcing, Materials, Logistics and Operations) to understand supply chain challenges and deliver robust, data driven solutions
Analyzes the data (using statistical and qualitative techniques), understands and can articulate how data is related to other functional areas or variables, demonstrated by written business proposals
Applies a strong understanding of data tables (including validity of values) and methodology, coupled with an understanding of the assigned business function’s business need in order to provide quick, accurate, and relevant data solutions to functional requests.
Actively support the development of new custom-built data systems aimed at informational support of analysis and reduction of the time and cost of doing business
Integrates and standardizes data sets from multiple internal and external data sources.
Conduct ongoing spend and contract analytics to identify new opportunities and drive priorities and productivity opportunities
Identify cost savings opportunities through spend analytics and business stakeholders’ discussion.
Training and Teaching Others - Identifying the educational needs of others, developing educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university. Degree in Finance, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, a plus.
MBA preferred, not required depending upon experience
Early Career (1-3 years professional experience)
SAP preferred with Procurement and Planning Modules a plus
