Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead data integration efforts to build authoritative datasets and lead analytics efforts to drive evidence-based decision-making and mission success
  • Develop strong client relationships and advise executive leaders on data strategy including stewardship, analytics, technology, and governance
  • Design, build, and maintain data integration pipelines
  • Perform data mining, exploration, and analysis
  • Create data visualizations, reports, dashboards, and data audits
  • Help drive a change in usage of data through active surfacing of insights to stakeholders
  • Participate in the Data Science Community of Practice
  • Perform other tasks as assigned


Qualifications and Experience:

· Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering and data science

· Proficiency in Python required, experience in PySpark preferred

· Experience consulting on data analytics, data management, and data governance in a large federal agency

· Clear and direct communication skills about complex, technical topics

· Track record of working autonomously with organizational and time management skills



Work Authorization/Security Clearance: This role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.


Work Environment: Work will be done in an office setting/environment and will need to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment. The person in this role will need to have the ability to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time and occasionally will need to move about inside an office environment. This position frequently communicates with other employees and external stakeholders. The person needs to have the ability to accurately exchange information in these settings. This position is on a hybrid work schedule, with some time spent in our Tysons Corner, VA office.
