About the Role


Are you passionate about applying technology in a business context and would love to join our highly skilled global team? You will have the possibility to get in touch with colleagues from various countries across different locations (Armonk NY, Zurich, Bangalore, Singapore, Beijing and Hong Kong) who contribute in developing analytics services and solutions in tight collaboration with internal business experts and external clients.


Responsibilities & Key Tasks

  • Assess and drive analytics projects from inception to completion

  • Apply analytical methods and algorithms to build data products that streamline the process from data collection to insight generation for various insurance and reinsurance business problems

  • Drive innovation to identify relevant industry/technology trends and thus ensure further development of Swiss Re's analytics capabilities

  • Build-up and foster sustainable relationship with business leaders and our clients to understand the business strategy and to become a trusted partner in the field of data analytics


About the Team


The Advanced Analytics Centre of Expertise (AA CoE) is part of the Group Data Services. The AA CoE implements Swiss Re`s Technology Strategy and supports its business functions in generating insights and creating data driven products & solutions, be it with our internal business partners or directly with our external insurance and corporate clients.


About You


Technical Requirements

  • Advanced degree and education with quantitative background (computer science, natural sciences, applied mathematics / statistics, engineering, econometrics)

  • 2-4 years of experience in applying analytics (machine learning, statistics, data mining) in a corporate environment

  • High level of analytical problem-solving skills and ability to assimilate complex information.

  • Solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and related technologies

  • Proficiency in Python and/or R, combined with proper code engineering to build and deploy innovative solutions. SQL is a plus

  • Specific platform knowledge (Azure, Palantir Foundry…) is a plus

  • Specific experience in the insurance industry is a plus

  • Excellent English language skills

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary and multi-cultural environment

  • Good communication skills, ability to present ideas and explain a model in non-technical terms

  • Able to multi-task and work in an agile cross-functional project team
