Senior Data Engineer

Join a leading Australian ASX listed organisation, known for their diverse portfolio of high quality asset management. This influential organisation is looking for a motivated Senior Data Engineer as they enter an exciting stage of evolution and growth.

You will play an integral role in contributing to decisions, leading to the modernisation of integration and data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidelines for Data Platforms, including sourcing, loading, transformation, storage and extraction of data
• Strong stakeholder management in scoping, designing and delivering data platform initiatives to maximise business value and minimise technical debt.
• Ensuring all technical solutions are robust, scalable, delivered on time, within cost and follow good governance and architecture principles, including identifying dependencies. Taking action to modify solutions and scope where necessary.
• Develop a good understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience in operationalising, retro-fitting and automating end to end aspects of ML models.
  
  

Skills Required

• Advanced skills in SQL and Python in AWS cloud-based environment.
• Strong understanding of data platform and architecture principles.
• Knowledge in database technologies: Snowflake, SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline including GIT, Code Deployment/Build and experience working with CloudFormation templates.
