Data Engineer

A leading Financial Services company in Ireland is on the lookout for an experienced Data Engineer with strong exposure to the MS Azure Platform.

This is for an initial 6-month daily rate contract with the strong chance of it rolling over multiple times.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Dataflows and Datamarts on a Azure platform
• Configure Databricks Clusters
• Support Business Users working on existing Datalake solutions
• Troubleshooting issues with existing Dataflows
• Work alongside global data teams
• Always seek to improve and innovate in the area of Data & BI
• Automation of Tasks on Azure platform
• Ensure the Applications are designed to be effectively managed
• Create & update documentation

Skills Required:

• 2+ years experience on the Azure Cloud Platform
• Strong experience with SQL & Python
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps & CI/CD implementation
• Experience working on Azure Data Lake processes
• Experience with Apache Spark & Scala
• Strong Oracle Database knowledge with 2+ years PL/SQL experience
• Strong Data Integration, ETL and Data Modelling experience
• Experience working with Power BI
• Experience working within the Financial Services industry
