Data Analyst, Risk & Trading
The Role…
Do you have a passion for learning and a head for numbers?
In this role, you'll operate as an internal consultant across our Racing and Sports operations teams with scope extending to trading performance, risk management, exchange, promotions and customer behaviours for Online and retail. Using your numerical and technical capabilities you will play a key role in research & communication of results to these teams and senior management.

You will also have the opportunity to progress within the department or cross functionally.
What You'll be Doing…
- Delivering high-quality quantitative analysis and tools to aid more accurate pricing, optimum pricing strategy and to help make effective risk management decisions
- Demonstrate accurate insights and predictions using visualisations and clear explanations of results, recommendations, methods, biases and limitations;
- Bring your data insights to life and drive them to be actioned efficiently by delivering scalable solutions such as user interfaces and automated reporting.
- Take responsibility to learn the necessary skills and techniques, in order to work with independence, integrity and accuracy;
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to effectively identify areas for improvement and support their strategic objectives;
What We're Looking for…
Do you have a honours degree in a numerate or technical discipline? Do you have proven excellence in subjects with a mathematical or statistical focus?
Other skills that are advantageous;
- Knowledge of statistical or programming software and techniques (e.g. in R, Python, C#, etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience of manipulating large datasets
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Interest in the gambling industry, sports or horse racing a distinct advantage
