Data Scientist / Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Wizard
RTS is looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our team and help take us to the next level. In this role, you will report directly to the Data and Analytics Team Lead, and you'll be responsible for building and implementing Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence models to address complex business problems and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will also have experience in the logistics and supply chain industry--which will help us stay ahead of the curve and maintain our leadership position in the market.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Develop, validate, and implement AI/ML models that drive efficiency and innovation within our operations
Model selection, training, testing, and validation
Model visualization, demonstration and documentation, preferably as an interactive notebook for iteration and deployable code for applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and develop data-driven solutions
Interface with AI/ML vendors to assess their technology, comparison with internal tools and capabilities, and assessment of fit for purpose
Translate complex business problems into sound ML/DS-based solutions
Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI/ML and logistics to ensure that our solutions are always at the forefront of the industry
Show initiative and leadership in driving projects to completion and moving the company forward
Required Education / Experience
Master's degree or higher in data science, computer science, engineering or related quantitative field or commensurate work experience in data science
3+ years of experience in a data science role
3+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning algorithms in a production environment
Experience with common data science toolkits, with excellence in the SciPy.org stack (NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Pandas, IPython, etc.) and Scikit-Learn highly-desirable
Experience in Gradient Boosting Machines, Bayesian Optimization, and Time Series Cross Validation would be awesome
Strong programming skills in Python or R
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders
Track record of showing initiative and leadership in driving projects to completion
Experience in the logistics field is preferred
