Experienced Data Scientist, Clinical Development

The position
In this position you will build full-stack data science products based on clinical data assets that will enable more intelligent use of data and ultimately improve the lives of people living with chronic diseases.

As Data Scientist you will use your programming and machine learning skills and understanding of data to develop concrete solutions to support the business. You will be working on a larger scale data science product together with a team of data scientists and data engineers. You will be working with an extensive coding framework and ensure it tailors to the needs of internal customers. We have a cloud-based CI/CD setup for developers to collaborate and deploy solutions in a fast and secure way.

To succeed with your application, we would expect you can preferably tick these boxes:

  • A master’s or PhD degree in a field of modelling like Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Social Sciences or similar.
  • Strong analytical mindset and a high level of statistical understanding.
  • >3 years of experience with programming, data science/engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge within the pharmaceutical or medical field.
  • Solid experience with Python and implementation of machine learning models.
  • Experience with bash shell and docker containers.
  • Experience with JavaScript and React.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Experience with clinical data and working in a regulated setting will be an advantage – as will experience with CI/CD (e.g. Azure DevOps) and agile principles.

About the Department
In the Development organisation, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product launch. We provide medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to global standards, regulations and business ethics.

The aim of the department is to develop novel digital solutions to increase value generation throughout the clinical development value chain. The digital solutions span across many areas and technologies and a key focus is to develop new ways of creating value and new insights from internal and external data repositories. You will become a part of our Digital Innovation department located in Søborg, Denmark.
