This Senior Data Engineer role operates within the travel sector. They operate all over the globe and have the financial backing of American Express.

The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you can expect the following:

• Design, implement and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for analytics and reporting
• Help build continuous improvements in reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service modelling and production support
• Build robust ETLs/ELTs to transform data from various operational systems and craft a unified dimensional or star schema data model
• Be part of the team that would interface with business customers and stakeholders to gathering requirements and deliver a complete reporting solution

Your Skills And Experience

The successful Senior Data Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

• Solid commercial experience developing solid code in Python
• Advanced SQL / Data mining
• Experience n technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake or S3
• A good understanding of Kafka or Kinesis is a huge plus
