Data Engineer (m/f/d)

To provide customers with an even better shopping experience, PAYBACK is now setting up a new Hub in Berlin focusing on digital sales. With this in mind, they are looking for a Data Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen the cross-functional team in Berlin.

Tasks

• You are the expert in data processing of large amounts of data (Big Data, Oracle) and prepare PAYBACK's KPIs
• You are in charge of the monitoring and further development of the on-premise data platform and prospectively support the cloud migration
• You automate data operations using the Infrastructure-as-a-Code solution Terraform and cutting-edge DevOps technologies such as CI/CD pipelines
• You are responsible for the requirement engineering of innovative solutions in close consultation with the product owner and accompany the entire life cycle of the data-intensive products
  
  

Requirements

• You are experienced as a data engineer, interested in topics such as automation or DevOps and have an agile mindset
• You bring extensive knowledge of working with Big Data and standard data processing technologies such as Hive or Spark
• You have a profound experience with Python and Oracle PL /SQL
• You have strong communication skills in English (German is a plus) and describe yourself as solution-oriented as well as team-oriented, eager to take on responsibility and develop yourself further
