Starburst Data Engineer (Remote)

A New Jersey-based professional services firm has a great Remote opportunity awaiting a new Starburst Data Engineer. In this role, the Starburst Data Engineer (Remote) will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the platform, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance and a data-driven approach to continuous measurement and optimization.

Responsibilities:

The Starburst Data Engineer (Remote) will:

• Design, develop, and implement data and analytics solutions in support of the data strategy and roadmap, leveraging cloud-native technology, in order to enable data and insights self-service and agile data management across the segment
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Provide insights Interpret datasets and analyze results using statistical techniques to provide ongoing insights to influence our development roadmap
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience with Data Products and Data Mesh
• Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
• Experience with Query Federation solutions like Starburst Presto
• Experience with data access and control solution using Immuta
• Hands-on experience building Data Mesh using Starburst
• Data Engineering skills
• Solid problem solving and time management skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with the WAM domain
• Familiarity with Denoto platform
