Sema4 is seeking a Clinical Genomic Data Analyst to make an impact in our clinical operations department. The Data Analyst will perform analysis of high complexity assay data under the supervision of the test manager. This position will focus on a primary assignment within Sema4’s flagship testing areas (Women’s Health, Hereditary Cancer, Proactive Genomic Health) and involve close communication with multiple teams. Primary responsibilities include quality control and review of production data. Additional responsibilities include working with the clinical lab directors and clinical test manager to develop and implement process improvements.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Quality control of production data sets (NGS, Sanger sequencing, qPCR, MLPA, Agena, etc.
  • Prepare data for director review
  • Generate documentation as needed for quality management and quality improvement
  • Participate in assay validation and proficiency testing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related field
  • 1 year working in a clinical diagnostic laboratory experience preferred
  • Experience analyzing molecular genetic testing data (including but not limited to NGS, Sanger sequencing, MLPA, qPCR, Agena
  • Basic bioinformatics/coding skills are a plus
  • Experience with genetic databases and software preferred
  • Strong computational skills including manipulation of large data sets
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Superior oral and written communication competencies
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
