We recognize data analysts as leverage in predicting potential needs of the market. You will become the expert in using knowledge to consult with various stakeholders in setting data insight success metrics and effectively communicating them with the target audience.

What do we recognize in you?

With very strong IT skills and curiosity in your essence, your potential lies in always trying to find new solutions. The core purpose of this role is to support the business functions through systems knowledge, data analysis and automated solutions.
Your day-to-day activities are evolving around your ability to connect with external and internal partners on various data matters. Your main task is to use automated tools to extract, transform and load data from the mapped sources. Herewith, we also expect you to treat corrupted data and fix coding errors and related problems. You will be using BI tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could support prediction and diagnostics. You will often work with programmers, data scientists, and management to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
Other responsibilities include:

  • Performing analysis to assess quality and confer significance to data;
  • Working with both on-premise and cloud applications, leveraging their databases and APIs to promote business improvements across the supply chain;
  • Supporting and maintaining the IMOS Voyage Management System for Ocean Freight users.

Who are we looking for?

Above all, you are a very detailed oriented person with strong IT and data management skills. But besides being comfortable with tableau, PowerBI, Excel, IMOS and other techy matters, you possess a good business acumen and are genuinely on the lookout for new learnings and good team spirit. It is crucial you have the ability to communicate well with business stakeholders and translate their requirements into technical solutions. It would be highly desirable if you are familiar with the Ocean Freight business as this would really add value in the process of making meaningful data analysis as well as supporting Ocean Freight users in IMOS Voyage Management System.
What we will want to see you accomplished so far:

  • A Degree in system analysis, computer sciences/engineering;
  • Experience in programming languages like SQL, Oracle and Python (highly desirable).
  • Technical proficiency regarding database design, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation.
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and project management;
  • Fluency in English.
