  • Job Summary
    • Gathers analyzes, and synthesizes data; develop conclusions and recommendations; prepares reports. Scope of functions relate to clinical outcomes data management, as defined in the Performance Measurement System Program.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Education/Experience
      • Associates degree in Business, Computer Science or other related field required. BS degree in Computer Science or Informatics preferred.
      • Minimum of 3 years of informatics experience
      • Experience in building and maintaining Tableau dashboards, preferred.
      • Experience with Cerner health information systems, preferred.
      • Experience with RL Solutions or other patient safety event management system, preferred.

    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
      • Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbally) to successfully accomplish the duties of the position.
      • Ability to accurately data mine and research /access databases from beginning to end without error; to summarize data/research work incorporating statistical formulas and analysis accordingly.
      • Working knowledge of presentation graphics software.
      • Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of platform operating systems, relational database management, Windows and Microsoft Applications (Excel, Access, Power Point)
  • Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
    • Manage and develop Board Reports for the Quality, Safety and Professional Affairs Committee. Manage and develop reports for the annual operating plan, as appropriate and requested by the Department Director.
    • Manage the development and maintenance of a tableau dashboard highlighting organization-wide key performance measures.
    • Plan and design information systems and data products to support case management, performance improvement, market share, revenue cycle, outcomes management and physician profiles. Gather, analyze, and synthesize data; develop conclusions; make recommendations; prepare reports.
    • Compile and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year end summary reports related to utilization patterns of care and clinical outcomes.
    • Provide data expertise to support the development or modification of hospital programs, services and resources.
    • With support from leadership, serve as the lead contact for the department's data analysis initiatives. Oversee the data collection process monitoring and reporting
    • Validate information for accuracy prior to reporting.
    • Closely monitor data performance related to Hospital Report Cards.
    • Perform data queries and data mining as needed related to build knowledge and information regarding patient quality and safety outcomes relative to cost of care. Gather, analyze and synthesize data and develop conclusions, make recommendations and prepare reports.
    • Perform analysis of the patient safety event management system data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Collaborates with department leaders and other stakeholders to provide data analysis support as necessary.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
