Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business, analytics and reporting requirements into scalable solutions
  • Lead mid- and low- level design efforts
  • Design and build data analytics and reporting platform in the cloud
  • Develop automated, scalable, near real-time data processing pipelines
  • Implement data quality gate to ensure the accuracy of ingested data
  • Mentor junior and medior members of team to follow best practices. Conduct code reviews

About You

  • You have a bachelor's degree in STEM
  • You have 5+ years of data engineering experience
  • You already led a team of software/data engineers or mentored/supervised junior engineers
  • You feel comfortable in an agile environment, where features were delivered following the CI/CD best practices
  • You have prior exposure to Databricks
  • You have development experience in Spark (Python, Scala, or Java) and end-to-end, near real-time ETL pipelines
  • You bring along your experience from past projects, where you were using with both SQL and NoSQL technologies
  • You have a good understanding of data modeling techniques
  • Confidence with Microsoft Azure (or other cloud) platform
  • Understanding of data governance and data security practices
  • Power BI (or other reporting tool) knowledge is a plus
  • Prior experience with on-demand analytics systems is a plus
  • Data mining/analytics/machine learning experience is a plus
