We have partnered with a company in the insurance sector. They are looking to grow their Data Science team to work alongside an already established team of Engineers. You will be the sole Data Scientist for now, but will have scope to work towards management!
Role
Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to derive insights and make data-driven recommendations for enhancing business operations and strategies in the insurance sector.
Develop predictive models and algorithms to assess risk, optimize underwriting processes, and enhance customer experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
Design and implement data-driven strategies that improve customer retention, acquisition, and overall satisfaction.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data science and analytics, implementing relevant technologies and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
Effectively communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and provide recommendations based on data analysis.
Requirements
Proven track record of leveraging data science in the insurance sector, with a strong understanding of underwriting, risk assessment, and customer behavior analysis.
Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and data mining to extract valuable insights from complex data sets.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, along with experience in utilizing relevant data science libraries and frameworks.
Experience in working with large datasets and databases, with the ability to clean, transform, and manipulate data effectively.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical findings into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
A degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or relevant certifications would be advantageous.
