Data Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a creative, energetic hands-on professional who enjoys analysing business challenges, applying technical solutions to improve efficiencies and deliver business value. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL reporting experience with both Oracle and MS SQL server. He/she should also demonstrate foundational knowledge of other programming languages such like .Net, Java, ASP.net.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop SQL scripts for business functions
• Maintain data environments
• Setup new data infrastructure as needed
• Data Mining in various data warehouses and data-marts
• Quality assurance on tools by configuring test plans in SOAP UI, executing test cases, first-level triage of defects found
• Create and maintain ETL process in SSIS
• Conduct peer testing, code review and impact analysis of the script developed by the other members

Must have Experience

• 4 or more years in SQL reporting development in
• Strong expertise in PLSQL / T-SQL queries and use of stored procedures
• Proficiency with SSIS

• Knowledge of web services (XML, SOAP, REST, JSON, HTTPS)
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
• Database administrator experience

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of Salesforce.com

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: Angular, C#, VBA, ASP.net
