Job DescriptionThe IPP Office’s specific mandate is derived from the Memorandum of Agreement between the DMRE, National Treasury and the Development Bank of Southern Africa which assigns to the IPP Office the implementation of the Independent Power Producers Procurement Programme (IPPPP) pursuant to Ministerial Determinations on behalf of the DMRE and covers preparatory and sustaining contract management and monitoring actions to make effective and efficient procurement possible. This is a Fixed Term Contract position aligned with the current MoA. The purpose of this role is to to effectively analyse, manage and maintain IPP Programme data for various IPP Programme requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain data systems, including security and backup procedures. Ensuring the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions. Optimizing new and current database systems. Develop and implement a strategy for maintaining data quality and integrity in cooperation with various internal departments, businesses and ICT stakeholders. Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports. Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems. Work with management to prioritize business and information needs. Design and maintain dashboards on the MIS to provide business insight. Manage and fulfil Ad hoc queries with regards to modelling of potential scenarios for strategic decision making purposes.
