About the role

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible to prepare and mine large, diverse data sets to identify patterns and outliers. This role will lead the creation of context aligned aggregate data sets for use by Insights Analyst, Modelling & Visualization Specialists. You will also:

  • Maintain and contribute to the development of databases, including data analysis, reporting and quality control.
  • Create, execute and refine business rule sets for data mining and coordinate data management activities, data collection, processing, high quality control and documentation.
  • Review data sets against business requirements.
  • Create and update data model, data set scripts for IT handover.

What you need to be successful as a Senior Data Analyst:

  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Human Resource Management or relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated expertise in business intelligence with strong data analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
