Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!

Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Analyse statistics, data, and algorithms for projection accuracy for the deployed data model.
  • Create, maintain, and design relational databases to support enterprise application and physical data modeling according to project requirements for data acquisition and security as well as customer-defined deliverables.
  • Develop strategies for data modeling, design, and implementation to meet stated requirements for Metadata management, Operation Data Stores, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Marts and Extract Transform Load environments in batch processing, and real-time injection.
  • Review existing data architectures to determine overall effectiveness and compliance with determined objectives, develop comprehensive strategies for improving or replacing underperforming areas, and come up with plans to execute these solutions.
  • Create and test physical data models for a variety of business data, applications, database structures, and metadata tables to meet operational goals for performance and efficiency.
  • Carrying out day-to-day support for the reporting system.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • From 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Spark, Pyspark.
  • Hands-on experience with Relational databases (SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, DynamoDB etc.)
  • Experience working with Cloud technologies Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Good understanding of building data pipelines using an ETL tool like SSIS.
  • Experience with AWS Glue is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of Data Modelling, processing, and warehouse techniques.
  • Skilled at optimizing large, complicated SQL statements.
  • Knowledge at reporting development with SSRS and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Insurance or Financial Services industry.
