AMP Robotics is hiring a Junior Machine Learning Engineer reporting to the technical lead of Team Brain to focus on building out effective and scalable infrastructure for our ML team. In this role, you would be implementing infrastructural solutions in the cloud, extending our ML models, and automating our workflows. Your addition to our team would enable us to meet our development goals more quickly, accelerating value to the recycling industry.

As our Junior Machine Learning Engineer, you will work to:

  • Help us move faster by working with our seasoned team to deliver both R&D and infrastructural ML solutions.
  • Implement infrastructure or data pipelines.
  • Extend our ML/computer vision models.
  • Design, run, and analyze experiments to test improvements to our AI.
  • Automate cumbersome tasks for the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have:

Required:

  • 1-3 years experience writing production-level code in python.
  • Proficiency with professional software engineering practices; including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Ability to work on a small team and self-manage.
  • Passion for recycling, robotics and changing the world.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity working with SQL databases and/or data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with machine learning/computer vision techniques.
  • Familiarity with Tensorflow.
  • Startup ready mentality.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker.
  • Familiarity and interest in research-level mathematics.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Machine Learning or similar, or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Python development in machine learning/data science or adjacent industries.

Salary & compensation information: $90,000 - $110,000 based on experience

Full-Time / Salaried Employees

  • Medical - The company covers up to 85% of the premium of UHC Gold Choice Plus POS 1250 BP9K. Employees pay the difference in premium if they select a more expensive plan. Up to 25% for dependents.
  • Group Life, AD&D – 100% paid.
  • Long Term Disability – 100% paid.
  • Dental Insurance – 75% paid.
  • Vision Insurance* - 75% paid.
  • Employee Assistance Program - Provided through United Healthcare.
  • Paid Vacation Leave – Accrues at a rate of ~4.31 hours (0.54 days) per pay period (2 weeks) starting day 1. Unused PTO carries over each year with a 1-year limit.
  • Paid Sick Leave – 64 hours per year, given in full on start date, refreshes on anniversary.
  • 401(k) retirement plan - (non-matching).
  • Seven (7) paid holidays – 7 company designated and 2 floating holidays.
  • Referral bonuses for staff positions.

Part-Time / Hourly Employees
