Data & Analytics for End User Workspace is a dynamic and critical product portfolio used by critical functions across JPMC like Cyber Attack Analysis, Infrastructure Operations, HR employee analytics and the firms Operating Committee (Executive Leadership) to make key decisions. The covers data and analytics for employee behaviour, assets, and products.

It is seldom that you will come across datasets as large as the volumes we deal with on a daily basis, so big data knowledge for both batch reporting and real time stream analytics is important to us.

The team is constantly striving to innovate with the latest cutting edge data technologies and tools. We encourage a culture of experimentational and risk taking, to develop intellectual property and file patents.

As a member of our Digital Workplace Analytics team, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate about solving business problems through innovative and very large-scale data analytics. This role will require constant communication and requirements understanding from end users.

The successful candidate is someone that has strong programming fundamentals and can think analytically to leverage data and applicable technology for creating real time insights into the firm's use of workplace technology by its 250,000+ employees.

Expertise working with large scale distributed systems, big data technology, and high-volume streaming analytics is essential. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner regularly with your many stakeholders to stay focused on common goals.

Essential Skills

  • Competent in data analysis in Python
  • Experience with advanced statistics and big data
  • Experience with machine learning concepts and in particular with infrastructure machine data.
  • Experience with Algorithms related to people behavioral patterns.
  • Experience with SQL with a strong ability to write complex queries to extract information arrive at an answer
  • Distinctive problem-solving skills and impeccable business judgment
  • Ability to translate analysis results into business recommendations, and excellent written and confident verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think beyond raw data and to understand the underlying business context and sense business opportunities hidden in data
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and partners from a variety of business functions
  • Self-starter who can provide insights and drive results in a dynamic and fast evolving environment
  • Adept at multi-tasking

Nice to Have Skills:-
  • Experience working with large scale big data systems, architectures and implementation - Splunk, Spark, Cassandra, Oracle, Kafka etc
  • Experience designing and implementing Container based architectures like Docker, Kubernetes or similar
  • Experience with version control tools and processes (e.g. Git)
  • Experience with deployment, CI / CD management tools like Jenkins, Chef or similar
