Job description

Guide product decisions by crunching large data sets, analyzing, building models and driving key insights. Support business trends/forecasting and model the financial impact of new product ideas. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to work with other cross-functional teams like Finance, CRM, Engineering and Business Intelligence. Lead internal consulting to product management, marketing, finance, and CRM teams on A/B tests as they move initiatives from concept to market. Analyze competitive market strategies through researching market trends and provide key insights to internal customers on their specific ad-hoc needs. Act as the product owner of all the revenue and retention strategies for the product. Apply various statistical methodologies towards distilling actionable insights. Apply advanced data mining techniques to derive actionable insights from usage and operational data sets. Support products like Chispa, BLK, OurTime, SingleParentMeet. Mentor junior analysts on conducting member market research, designing questionnaires, and analyzing data to provide meaningful insights. Position allows telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer and Electronic Engineering, Mathematics with a substantial coursework in computer science, or related field plus 5 years of professional experience performing data analytics utilizing SQL to analyze and translate data into business insights. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience, the employer will also accept a Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer and Electronic Engineering, Mathematics with a substantial coursework in computer science, or related field plus 3 years of professional experience performing data analytics utilizing SQL to analyze and translate data into business insights.
Must also have experience with the following special skills: 3 years of professional experience using applied statistics (including descriptive statistics, statistical testing, experiments designing, and time series analysis); 3 years of professional experience utilizing advanced Excel (including functions and pivot tables); 3 years of professional experience providing marketing insights to business based on critical statistical evidence; 3 years of professional experience performing data mining, data wrangling, and data visualization; 3 years of professional experience utilizing and writing codes in SQL.
