Data Analyst, Public Service

Location: Dublin

Our client a public sector body are currently looking to recruit a Data Analyst to join them initially on a contract basis, this role can be worked remotely with the odd Day in the office in Dublin

Included in the Duties and Responsibilities

  • Extract relevant work data available from a variety of systems in use within the organisation and assess its quality/reliability in relation to the implementation of the relevant Framework
  • Synthesise and analyse data obtained from a variety of sources to support and measure the impact of implementation of the Framework across various settings
  • Support the relevant national lead in preparing reports as required by various stakeholders and governance/reporting groups, including National Oversight Group, National Implementation Group, Cost and Numbers Subgroup, Acute Operations Office
  • Assist in the provision of evidence based advice and guidance to national lead on Framework implementation challenges and opportunities
  • Support the team implement the Framework across the organisation.
  • Assist the team develop Framework implementation plans informed by Framework data analytics and knowledge of the organisation service and its direction
  • Support the monitoring of the Framework implementation in relation to national recommendations including Labour Court Recommendations and project plans and contribute to the identification of strategic solutions to gaps elicited
  • Prepare evidence informed draft documents, briefing papers, workforce infographics and/or reports pertaining to the implementation of the Framework

Specific Requirements/Required Experience

  • Significant experience of working in the area of data management using technology such as Excel, FilemMaker, SPSS Statistics, NVivo, Qaltrics or other relevant databases and data analytic software
  • Experience of using Business Intelligence (BI) tools and reporting technologies e.g. BusinessObjects, Lumira, Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI, as relevant to the role
  • Significant experience in converting raw data into informational reports using Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite or other ETL (extract, transform, load) and reporting technologies, as relevant to the role
  • Significant experience of working in a busy office environment that has involved dealing with senior managers, and key internal and external stakeholders, as relevant to the role
  • Access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role
