As Stockpile enters an expansion phase for our very exciting and innovative fintech product offerings, it aims to enhance the enormous value in data processing and analysis for continuous growth and success.
This expertise role provides leadership to turn cutting-edge technology into actionable insights; unlocking the power of data that provides value to business decisions and customer service enhancements.
Helping to mitigate risks and fraud, the role identifies data that stands out in some way to create statistical, network, path, and big data methodologies for predictive fraud propensity models and use those to create alerts that help ensure timely responses when unusual data is recognized.
Helping to deliver relevant products where the organization can find when and where the products sell best, delivered at the right price and time, and develop new products to meet customer needs.
Provide personalized customer experiences by producing data for marketing and customer service teams to understand their audience on a very granular level. With this knowledge, the Company can create the best possible customer experience and value proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Having a full understanding of Stockpile processes and services, the Data Scientist empowers the leadership team to make better decisions and work with Stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging Company data to drive business decisions.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires an evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Envisions the future and designs comprehensive data inputs to accomplish product solutions.
  • Regularly demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization based on deep data knowledge and data science experience.
  • A go-to resource for data science-related questions about the product and customers.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience as a Data Scientist in reputable companies preferably in the financial industry.
  • Organizational skills, detail oriented, accuracy and efficiency are critical qualities to service stakeholders needs.
  • Approach all job responsibilities, with a sense of urgency, throughout the entire business cycle.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex data concepts in an easy to understand manner.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Google Sheets, and programming skills (Python, SQL, etc.), Mode.
  • Proven experience in data analytics, data mining, machine learning, and related disciplines.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Can lead data analyst(s).
  • Expected to have an advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Machine Learning, or equivalent business experience preferred.
