The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with a love of data and some analytics experience. In this role, you will be focused on developing data pipelines, building reports, and investigating or analyzing data for Opendata. We value end-to-end ownership, which gives you the freedom to determine the correct course of action, do all due diligence, and execute solutions in your own creative way.
What You'll Do
- Investigate data issues coming from stakeholders, both external and internal
- Maintain data quality from external sources and internal maintenance sources
- Design and develop enhancements to existing and new data pipelines
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Analytics
- 3+ years of experience working with SQL
- 1+ years of experience with Python and Unix scripting
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment using agile development techniques
- Experience working with ETL, Automation, and Workflow management tools like Airflow, Informatica, Nifi, Talend, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science or equivalent
Nice to Have
- Life Sciences industry experience
- QA Experience (Data-oriented)
- Experience using data visualization tools like Tableau
