The responsibilities of the Master Data Analyst includes, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Perform data analysis and data profiling activities on master data sets in the life sciences commercial business function, pertaining to data domains like Customers(HCPs, HCOs), Products, Payers & Plans.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis and generate data profiling reports to understand the data characteristics and to determine if a data set is candidate for mastering.
  • Review the existing data quality rules and standards, identify gaps and define new rules to be applied before ingesting a data set into the MDM system
  • Create Source to Target mapping definitions for ingesting new data sources into Reltio MDM.
  • Identify reference data attributes and map them to the appropriate MDM reference data values
  • Closely work with Integration and information architect to create ER Diagrams, Data flow and Data change management workflows
  • Analyze data from external data sources, identify data patterns and provide recommendations for defining match rules within the MDM system.
  • Generate Reports using SQL and other analytical tools as needed based on the data quality or operational reporting use cases.
  • Troubleshoot Data Issues reported due to Data Quality Issues or Other Data integrity errors and provide guidance to Data Stewards/Data vendors on steps to resolve the Errors.
  • Facilitate Meetings and discussions with Data Stewards and business stakeholders to review Data specific requirements and discuss any data related issues.
  • Engage with the Data Governance team to ensure Data governance standards and policies are enforced before onboarding new datasets into the MDM system.
Skill set/Qualifications:
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably computer science, information systems or other related field with minimum 6+ years of experience in data management, data engineering/data analytics.
  • Should have a minimum of 3 years experience working in Master data management projects and should be familiar with Master data concepts and Archetypes
  • Should have a good understanding of Data Model Design patterns and MDM configuration methodologies within Reltio MDM systems..
  • Proficiency with life sciences and health care industry data sets including and not limited to IQVIA OneKey, Veeva Open Data, Med Pages, PubMed etc.
  • Should have familiarity working in an AWS Environment
  • Should be able to write advanced SQL queries and generate reports
  • Proficiency in generating reports and Pivot charts using Excel/Gsheet
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills with a can do attitude.
Good to have/Preferred Skills:
  • Prior working experience with Reltio is a plus, experience working with other MDM platforms like Informatica is also preferred.
  • Proficiency with one of the AWS development tools/products like AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, AWS Pipeline, Amazon Athena, Amazon RDS, Amazon S3 etc is a plus.
  • Proficiency working with harvesting data from publicly available data sets like Pubmed and other social media platforms preferred.
  • General understanding of data warehousing, data lake and related data platform concepts and ETL tools
  • Experience with Non Master transactional data sets (e.g. CRM activity, direct/indirect sales) and promotional/omni channel marketing data etc), a plus.
  • Python/Java coding and subject knowledge of AI/ML is a plus.
