How will I help?

As a Data Analyst in our Business Bank Remediation team, you will contribute to the development and deployment of significant improvements through the application of Analytics practices. This is achieved through structuring data to develop insights, enabling the business to resolve problems and drive strategic direction.

Other key day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and articulating complex data visualisations intuitive graphics to a non-technical audience and forming/owning a backlog for building data capability to ensure it reflects the division’s strategic and financial goals
  • Delivering insights and capability through understanding what data is required to validate business problems, creating a collection plan and implementing it
  • Gathering data using various data mining tools and techniques followed by translating them into data that is structured, reusable and provides insight capability to the wider team and business
  • Building, owning and continuously improving data logic, structure and visualisations to drive the shaping and delivery of projects across multiple platforms
  • Sharing information and knowledge between internal and external networks and partnerships to boost performance and productivity.

What do I need?

To be considered for this opportunity will need to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary or post graduate qualification in a mathematical/finance discipline
  • Proficient in using SQL & analytical toolkits (R or Python desirable) with demonstrated experience
  • Previous experience developing data solutions in either data warehouses or big data platforms (leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data)
  • Proficiency in translating and analysing large data sets
  • Lean Six Sigma awareness.
  • Highly proficient using MS suite.
